Rent to Own |  | | Customers who are interested in owning their own home, but do not have the necessary down payment or credit may consider renting towards ownership. They may not be able to obtain financing from lenders such as banks or credit unions.
Dunmoor Homes offers a rent to own option. This option allows customers to apply a portion of their rent payment towards the purchase of their home. We will provide the opportunity for the homebuyer to purchase the home at a certain price for a certain period of time.
The rent to own process:
- Review our list of homes below
- Complete a Prequalification Questionnaire
- Dunmoor Homes will review your credit
- A home professional will contact you and schedule a time to meet and decide on a home
- Together we will complete the documentation necessary to execute a Lease Agreement -normally a two-year period with the ability to extend the term
- You provide the security deposit (normally one month), and pet deposit if applicable
- We will complete the documentation necessary to execute an Option to Purchase Agreement
- You will provide an option payment (varies based upon credit and income)
- A portion of your monthly rent will be applied to the purchase price
- We will put you in contact with a mortgage professional who will provide guidance on how to repair credit and purchase the home
